dangerous distractions.

i have been trying to ween myself off of counter-strike for
1 and a half years.

i once read a quote from trent reznor:
"I could have written a whole album in the time i spent
playing doom"

what is your worst distraction; the greatest thief of your
creative productivity?

This is a GREAT topic.....

These days, I do not do anything productive if snowboarding
is an option.
With the time I have spent driving to and from the slopes, I
could have done ALOT of college....

Also HALO....pretty darn addicting....

ahh yes
i wish i could go snowboarding enough to qualify it as a
distraction. i only get up about 3 times a month this
season.
i have gotten into going up and not buying a ticket; just
hiking up the halfpipe.

messageboards like this one...
in fact..i have quite a bit of school work due this week
that i could be working on right now...but am not..
though i suppose if i werent sitting here...i would be in my
room with said school work sitting in front of me..while i
stare off into space with headphones on...
ive been very lazy/easily distracted lately..perhaps this is
why i am behind in school?

This message board is my #1 distraction from
work/productivity by far...

Video Games come in second.

Apathy in a close third, followed by demotivation.

offline uzim on 2002-10-19 05:45 [#00409024]

even when i haven't got any computer - music - friends to
chat with - video games - etc. to distract me, i don't work
enough.

not having anything better to do doesn't make me work, i'm
just plain lazy!

offline uzim on 2002-10-19 05:47 [#00409025]
Points: 17716 Status: Lurker

...and lack of motivation and unability to concentrate
doesn't make it easier ^^
