I have yet to see this awesome play performed by bjork, but
after hearing about it,.. I want to see it badly

apparantly it's about a chick that is going blind,.. and her
way of coping with stress is by breaking out into singing!!!

that's a very miserable way to describe Lars movie dude.

the movies miserable aswell, but bjork is brilliant. She
didn't like the way Lars von Trier (the director) ended the
movie.... they had disagreements..
but yeah... its worth seeing definitely

bjork "looks" brilliant thanks to Lars work. he's thousand
times more talented than Bjork. one craetes a new way of
expression, while the other steals styles. anyway Refund,
gotta see it to decide 4 yourself.

the ending was HEARTBREAKING.......and that synopsis is not
quite giving the movie it's due.

it was a great movie.....and even better soundtrack!

well, To be honest I dont think the music fits to the look
of the film, just becouse of his stupid dogma rules. I mean
the music looks proffesional but the movie looks ok. I liked
some parts of the movie... the end was a little bit chocking
to me and Peter stormare is always funny hehehe!

The soundtrack deserves much more respect than the film.
that's my opinion.

bjork produced most of it....

a beautyfull voice, but "her" music is allways kind of a
"wannabe" in the last wave. but after others open the path.

unabomber: the soundtrack: all music WRITTEN by bjork
(including the 6 minute instrumental overture), production &
sampling by bjork and mark bell (LFO), some of the lyrics by
lars von trier (since the songs are all in character as
selma), and some impressive drum programming work by an
icelandic guy whose name i forget.

NO MATMOS.

it's my opinion that you didn't really get all that you
could have from the movie if you thought it was ll bjork or
it was all lars, or that the going back and forth between
the raw footage and the musical sequences didn't work. i
really don't think it could have been any better anymore
than beethoven's 9th could have been better. hearing these
criticisms is to me like that scene from amadeus where the
king is criticising mozart's piece, "too many notes," lol!

hehe yea. agreed. it's not my favorite movie but, based on
my personal preferences and the info i know about the
creation of the movie, i wouldn't change anything.

ooh, i thought i'd be flamed for that one, thnx. something
about the mere idea of the inherent perfection of something
seems to not go over well with most.

the movie is good but probably the most depressing one i
have ever seen.

again, agreed. this one is as depressing to me as:
midnight express
requiem for a dream
kids (not as sad for me as it used to be, i guess cos i've
watched it so many times)

dancer in the dark for me was sad, but selma was so powerful
that it was as if she transcended the expereience at the end
and it was ok. requiem was just depressing.
