I had the beta version for approximately 10 minutes.

I'm not even going to acknowledge the fact that the
completed version is available.

It tries to do too much i think. Like, the reason it was so
popular was because it was light and compact. Then they
turned it into a big heavy piece of shit, like Windows Media
Player. It's good how they left a choice to download the
classic player and skins though.

so is it another case of bloatware strikes again???

For a V3 it feels like a V1 ... it just feels too clunky &
slow...

I'm gonna stick with 2.x ...never had any problems with that
& does everything I need....

A big pity really...as I liked the look of some of the new
features; perhaps in a years time it'll feel a bit more
complete....

way too slow for my taste.

There are a couple reasons to upgrade past 2.79 to 2.81.

You get ogg vorbis playback built in, and the new gapless,
crossfading output plugin is pretty cool and more flexible
than before.

But you can always add these new plugins to 2.79 by hand.
