i went to see the new gwyenth paltrow movie yesterday and i
enjoyed it!

it was a thinking person's romance. very bookish in it
approach to budding romance.

would i call it a chick flick.....HELL YEA!

however.....i found the parallel stories (one in modern
times/one in victorian times) to be very interesting. as was
the poetry that flew between all the characters......but
mainly the POETS during the victorian times.

this movie made me want to visit YORKSHIRE......a lot!!

anyway....excellent movie with some beautiful poetry,
beautiful scenery, and the actors weren't so bad either!!

she played a british poetry scholar.

he voice sounded quite authentic!

she was really good in this movie.....everyone was really.

i'm looking up the poets they mentioned....cos i'm still not
sure if they are REAL or imaginary.....the poetry in this
movie was AMAZING!!

i think you'll enjoy it. who wouldn't love hearing/watching
two victorian poets fall in love via correspondence. =0)

"No mere human can stand in a fire and not be consumed."

WOW......thats what i mean.....lovely.....just lovely!!

That movie blows just like Gwenyth's acting....aside from
Emma, making a movie out of this book was to me the worst
approach ever...It stinks!

I know you disagree with me ..... And no I haven't seen it
, and I wouldn't see a movie like Possesions even if I were
stoned.

There are only a hand full of books turned into movies that
are good...Steven Kings the storm of the century and Lord of
the rings( the only 2 I can think of right now)

i was just kidding, i haven't seen the movie either but i
like gwyneh paltrow in several films - serious and humorous.
she's not a favorite of mine but i think she's a good
actress.

isn't she an americanized brit?

i don't understand how people can make assumptions about
things they've never seen or heard.

but to each his/or her own

i'll leave it at that.

I've also read that its a poorly done movie, but like I said
I would never see a movie like that
1- I dont like girly flicks
2-making a book into a movie rarely ever goes well and
3-I know MY TASTE in movies....

And we'll leave it at that

actually no....she is born/bred american.

both her parents are american. her mum is a well respected
stage/screen actress.

and her father is a director.

she's not my favourite actress, but sometimes she gets
things just right. this was one of those times. a very
understated preformance.

and aaron eckart is so good. i recommend his other movie 'in
the company of men' what a study in MEN!!
