i don't know what the fuck boc did to their cd, but i have more and more difficulty playing it.
at the beginning, it was only during 'magic window', my cd player was stopping for a while, making weird noises (i know, i know, i already noticed that before on the mb), several times during the track. it wasn't annoying since the track was silence — but now, it does it 75% of the time on all the tracks! i put the cd into the player, hit play, then 10 seconds of music and it stops, making these fucking noises again, so i have to put the cd out of the cd player, then in again, then retry and retry and retry again until it plays right...
these "bugs" seem to happen at random, and it's the only cd i have in which this weird thing happens...
i manage to have it playing right sometimes, fortunately — but this is so fucking weird and annoying!!
i looked at the cd, and no scratches nor anything... fuck it... -_-
does anyone have the same problem?!

dunno if it helps but if you try using a lens cloth on the lens of the cd but also on the very inner most rings of the cd, like on and around the little barcode thingy(this is where the track data is meant to be stored) and try playing it then: even a miniscule bit of dirt or a scratch there can spaz your cd player out and cause it to make like a chuggin noise: try it and let me know please :)

I had a similar problem with the Richard D. James album,it would only play in certain stereos/cd players. This only happened for the first few months I owned it,now there`s no problem with it.Quite odd really.

Did you check to make sure the servo-stabalizing circuit was initialized and properly calibrated?
What about the trans-passive audio matrix capacimators? Did you try resetting the parameter co-processors?

I have the same thing with "spiderland" by Slint. its shit.
I once (only once mind!) bought a Marilyn Manson cd, played it once, went to put it back in the tray. it kind of slipped, dropped on the tray (like 2 cm) and made this awful, high squeaking noise. three tracks disabled.
