Does it matter? Or is a certain OS recommended for making tunes? Just aslong as the software runs on it, is it okay? I haven't used Windows in 2 years, and plan on buying a Windows OS for mixing. I've heard bad things about XP, and i know ME is shit.

I heard Mac is ideal for music. But if you have windows. XP was supposivly designed for MUSIC purposes.

Ok cool. Looks like i'll get XP then. I wouldn't mind a Mac, but way out of my price range as of now.

you could get an iBook.... I see quite a few musicians preform live with those now... and the price is quite decent... especially if you can manage to get a student discount.

OS should be Windows 98 Second Edition (with the "lite" mod).
