Judging from Halo Eleven (The Perfect Drug Remixes), Trent
Reznor would make an AWESOME drum and bass artist. He
should quit the whole 'rock' thing and delve into the idm
scene. Anyone hear his remix of The Perfect Drug? Its
amazing....he should be a dn'b artist!

I've never actually heard any of the remixes, but "the
perfect drug" itself kicks ass.

Do the remixes have seperate titles? Like, "The Perfect Drug
[Radial Mix]" or whatever?

reznor did,the 9 min. one right?,it is an excellent remix,he
could easily do an album of this style of music.
You are really getting into NIN at the moment, hehe :)

NIN is wonderfull.... the fragile was soo fresh and new
sounding... I love that album. The perfect drug is such a
good song! I just recently got the all things falling apart
remix album.... its great. I love it how Trent has always
tried to do something different and new in his following
albums.....That is why I think he is such a great
musician...... and I guess that is why I was soo disapointed
with the new release.... I think it was more of a remix
album then something new. i cant wait untill he puts out
something new agian...

In case you didn't know, Trent didn't remix any of those
track himself. I own the cd, and the remixes are by Meat
Beat Manifesto, Orb, Spacetime Continuum, and a few
others...

AFX and NIN have been tied as my favorite bands. I knew NIN
first, but damn, they're both so good. They're just gonna
have to learn to share first place...

Starfuckers Inc is the best NIN tune I reckon. Can't decide
which version though.

titsworth > they already did... 'the beauty of being numb'
and 'at the heart of it all' off 'further down the spiral'
are both (nin + afx) tracks. :)

(well, in fact 'at the heart of it all' is only afx but has
been influenced by nin, and is on a nin cd)

i love the perfect drug as well — and the video is
great... ^^

I discovered aphex through nin actually, when I bought
"further down the spiral" and heard "at the heart of it all"
for the first time.

I love nin too. although if you're older then 15 you
shouldn't listen to the lyrics as they're just ridiculous.

starfuckers inc. is goooood.

also liked the acoustic version of the becoming on the
double live lim.ed.

uzim: i don't really count that since they're just tracks
afx made and gave them. (look at the credits for "the beauty
of being numb", one half is by afx the othe by nin.. not
together.)

i mean a real collaboration. but i guess afx wouldn't do it
unless it was all electronics, no vocals or guitars? i dunno
why i get that suspicion, i could be totally wrong.

the trent reznor mix is "Remix by Trent Reznor & Keith
Hillebrandt" maybe he didnt do the dnb part but i dunno it
still kick ass ,.. that remix album owns the song in general
is killer and the remixes are too.. search for starfuckers
by "hanzel un gretyl " or someshit its a good version also..

offline titsworth from Washington, DC (United States) on 2002-08-31 06:47 [#00373474]

they co-programmed it. trent's an accomplished drum
programmer but keith is also excellent.

is this "hanzel un gretyl" version a remix or a cover by a
band?
