I seen this mad french film a year ago when it came out in the cinema,but forgot just how insane it is. Its a period drama,in french,I wont tell you too much,its basically about a hunt for a mysterious beast which is rampaging around france.Vincent Cassell[who has a nifty bone sword] & Mark Decascos[from Drive]is in it,he plays an indian,theres kung-fu,a special effect armour plated lion or something,a love story,a french guy who suddenly knows kung-fu towards the end [and can spin two swords whilst killing people],a mad plot envolving the pope,a horror movie.You name it its probably in it,its just plain old insane[it tries to be everything].It is actually a good movie,although it tries to be too much. Its out on video/DVD now,so if you get the chance check it out. Has anyone else seen it,what did you think? |

hehe,dont go expecting a classic or anything,like i say it tries to be everything [is it an action movie or a period drama],and doesnt quite work due to this,but it definetely is different,and entertaining.:) |

I've seen the film and liked it. I don't think its out on DVD yet. Amazon says that it will be out October 1, 2002. The only version I could get is the crappy old bootleg that someone did in the theater. |

Not really,just the theatrical trailer[whoopy-fucking-doo]and something on the legend,which I havnt looked at yet,Ill watch it later and tell you. |

i thought it pretty much sucked, the fights were very cool and well coriographed (sp), but the movie was way too long and rather boring, and it DID try to be everything, something that is just annoying. |

Yeah,it is a little long,but least its trying to be different,not just the usual action movie,in a weird way I thought it worked. |
