I'm 18, and i feel fucking old. Like i haven't done anything for the last 2 years except a diploma which was piss easy. I didn't really finish school either, i just fucked around and did nothing. Now i'm regretting it, or maybe it's just in my head. I feel like i'm having a mid-life crisis, wtf? I'm going to university next year, but that still doesn't take away my waste of 2 years. Have i got much to look forward to or just fucking work and bullshit for the rest of my life? Anyone older that went through the same shit? I feel like i could have accomplished alot more than what i have today. |

yeah, but you'll get over it quick cuz life don't wait man, it just goes and goes and never stops coming at you so you just move on get over it and put it all past you and start looking towards the future although it may seem dark imagine all the cool people you'll meet and lall the cool stuff you'll do it's fun! |

Yep, I know the feeling. I didn't do anything this year,and I'm 20 . But the moment I knew what I was gonna do next year, that feeling went away. I also could have accomplished more,but WHY? Later,man! You're 18. NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT! |

When I was 18, I was really excited about what was going to happen next - so I can't really relate to how you are feeling. Since then I've done a lot of working and playing around and ended up traveling through a good bit of the world. I was having fun then and still am now. It just depends on your outlook. Yeah there's going to be work and bullshit, just don't let it consume your life. |

mid life crisis ? nah , you have to have your post-adolescent adulthood-confusion-dilemma first . And by the sounds of it , you're having it right about now. Don't fret about these phoney goals like 'diplomas' or 'degrees' being worth the paper they're written on... Take the things you really enjoy (music,sport,socialising...whatever) and expand yourself that way. Maybe full-time education isn't for you, I know loads of people who did it with apathy, as a doss, or without knowing why, or with false reasons (like, you have to go to uni after school) Don't expect these courses to challenge you... You have to challenge yourself methinks : |

Cool, thanks guys. Well you've given me a few things to think about. Thanks alot. Once i get a car and my shit together i think i'll be fine. And i need to take up a few more hobbies or something aswell, otherwise i think too much. |
