especially Coil, The Young Gods, Einstürzende Neubauten...
some Squarepusher as always (Music Is Rotted One Note is so
great! :))...
a little bit of old AFX...
and i just received Higgins Ultra Low Track Glue Funk Hits
1972-2006 by Venetian Snares about one hour ago. i prefer
the 'softer' tracks of it for now ('banana seat girl',
'walmer side', 'dismantling five years', 'we are
oceans'...), they are great... i think i need time to get
into the hard ones ('vokeheads', 'cobra commander'...) since
it's my first listen :)

Verve Remixed sucks IMO
Unmixed is far far better

Just winding you up mate. They were around the same time
though and featured on all the indie comps.

Verve umixed probably is better but remixed is still great.
The only duff one is the Tricky remix; it could have been
awful.

I know, dubstar always used to crop up on stuff like the
"shine" compilations. I think they're very "poppy"- I was
suprised they didn't do better...

Dubstar? Those who did that 'Stars Come Out' tune? They
didn't do any better because they were middle-of-the-road
indie tripe.

Are they still going? I must admit, they were a bit crap.

i have been listening to david bowies latest a bit.... its
pretty cool, though i much prefer his earlier work. pre-73
i.e his folk music and rock beginnings.

also old autechre... i.e amber
and heaps of SAW2 this month for some reason.

also a bit of spiritualized, cos i saw 'em about a month
ago. and i reckon the verve remixed is a good disc.

I don't think they're still around, but they haven't
officially split up to my knowledge... I thought they'd
broken up before then "goodbye" came out. Perhaps that album
title can be taken literally?

Whilst they aren't really originall or anything, they are
very good chilled out light hearted pop music. Obviously not
in the same class as AT et all, but good nonetheless
