i don't think that there is an actual point when love happens...it's not like i like this person a lot, now i like them a little more, and....NOW i love them...i think there is too much grey area of what can be defined as love of or between people that aren't family (or are family for that matter)...i think that the word love is centered around a lot of confusion, insincerity, and desperation...it is a tool in many cases...i AM only nineteen, but then again i have told numerous girls in my past that i loved them...these were statements i thought to be true, but later found were blind statements so as to heighten certain forms of the relationship...i think i am not the only one...this (romantic) 'love' that you all speak of does not exist to me...it might as well be an advanced form of liking, nothing more |

awwwww congrats neetta!! the only way you someone loves you is if they tell you (then you know for sure). sometimes you can tell, but until they say it, then it becomes reality. and you know you're in love when the reverse happens. when you feel safe enough to tell the person yyou love them! love is a reality! it's not just romantic love.....there are other kinds and they are just as wonderful! |

interesting Woofer mentions " Love" in Tennis. That is a years-old mis-translation of " L'Ouef" (meaning egg in French)... So what we now take for Love in Tennis actually refers to being a loser ... or an "Egg" (I guess rather offensive in regal France c.1865 :) That got me thinking... What else to we mistake for love ? habit .. compulsion.. addiction.. safety.. greed.. And why ? Because Love is the one thing everyone in the world wants. Whether what we end up with is or isn't love ... is not the point. we make it our goal . Because of our need for the sexual approval and emotional acceptance of others ; everything under the sun plays on that need.;...TV adverts, religion, social peergroups, the mass media; even people who chat you up are exploiting your need. And we're easy to exploit because none of us know what love really is. Therefore we don't know what it is we really want. Because we know we want it ; but don't know what it is ; we enter a paradox. And this is why so many people get hurt and so many of us are confused. Its a ruse, so I advise you to find out what love is first and then ask the questions.... otherwise just try to show love through your actions to make others feel loved. Thats a good start. ps how do you know if she loves you ? she'll tell you she's 'confused' ;) |

i think the opposite. i think you know your in love when you realise you dont have to say it. the pair of you just know. of course its nice to tell your loved one you love them, and its nice to be told they love you. but really, thats just a word. |
