Self Sampling

Alot of people on this board took the utter piss out of
Prodigy because they sampled themselves on their new track
'Babys got a temper'. But i would like to point out that
Aphex Twin does this as well. On Taking Control at 1:39 at
the track you can hear samples from Meltphace 6 also on the
drukQs album

Didnt want to cause an up-roar or prove you all wrong, just
wanted to point it out.

I MUCH prefer Aphex Twin to Prodigy

Cornelius samples himself in nearly every track he does on
Fantasma. Thats entertainment.

yeh, nothign wrong with self sampling imho.

aphex does somethign even worse, he uses the same drum packs
and same perc sounds over and over in his old stuff, and
it's still cool.
I mean is there anyone who hasn't thought "hey fuck, man,
that's the beat by [x] song also by aphex"?

im taking control of the gum machine

Lorna Derek Richarararara Sarah.

At first I thought you meant self sampling as speaking into
a microphone. Then I realised that is called singing. Never
mind.

the new prodigy one?
i only heard it once (well twice if you count live, and i
was very drunk!) and I don't really like it.

But then again, I'm more into the early stuff. Like
experience and the early stuph that wasn't on it (android,
what evil lurks, etc....)

54 cymru beats recycles equation, one of the reasons this
track has never really "hit it off" with me

What Evil Lurks is a fantastic track, along with Charly

Titsworth is right, drum hits and other percussive sounds
were taken from equation

i'm working on a "rock" remix of cymru/equation. it's going
to be pretty amusing. (by rock remix i don't mean a cover,
but a remix sampling rock songs people know.. stay tuned.)

there is nothing wrong with sampleing yourself......

unless the sound you get sounds horribly dated, and is just
a poor attempt to cash in on former glory..... poor prodigy,
i really expected more :(
