I know this has probably been done over and over, but can
anyone recommend me some music software to get, for creating
and editing etc.

I've noticed there's lots of good DJ's and that here, so i
thought this would be a good place to ask.

yair reason is ood software.

i personally use fruityloops, which is easy to use and you
can do anything you want with it (but you have to use your
imaination to get some sounds though).
you can record knob tweaks which is cool, just liek you can
with reason and rebirth.

buzztracker is good aswell.
i have this but dont use it, its very slow to use! (for me,
ayways - it involves a lot of entering values etc)

rebirth is fun but its very limited (only a 908 and an 808
and a 303)

I am an advocate of ACID 3.0 PRO.
everyone here seems to hate the prog. though i find once you
have recorded the sounds and samples you want it really gets
good. ACID is such a versatile and easy to use tracker.

of course you need to have your samples recorded first.....
so ACID must always be used in conjunction with other
progs.

normally i put it together in acid but have also used:
sound forge
fruity loops
audio logic
and maybe some other freeware stuff as well.

now you ask why i don't just do it all in logic? cos i use
logic at a friends recording studio to do live
instruments..... i don;t actually have it.
