Whats the score ?

I'm using my parents comp and could easily persuade them to
install a barrier programme.

I know bits and pieces about how security works (this is
like a mote Joe holds this key...)

What do you want to know? This is a large area of knowledge.

Only thing I have on my computer regarding any kind of
internet security is Norton Antivirus... the other day it
caught like 3 Trojan viruses. Before I had Norton, my
harddrive got deleted twice.

So... in conclusion... Norton=good. Dunno what the heck you
want to know in this topic though. Your usual vague self...
:-/

If you're really concerned about security whilst using the
web, get yourself a software firewall...like ZoneAlarm (the
one I use at home) or there's one built-in with Win XP...

you can use em to control which programs can access the net
etc...and just take more control over what is allowed in &
what is allowed out of your machine...

Pretty handy to have on for peace of mind purposes...it'll
stop 99% of wannabe hackers outthere...(if you get targetted
by the 1% who know what they are doing you are f***ed
regardless....:)..
