obsessive songs

it's a bit weird how some songs can monopolize your entire
musical desire/attention so much that you just feel like you
must listen to it on repeat again and again and again
and again... and after 1 or 2 days, the obsession just stops
and you don't listen to it anymore, like you emptied it.
(last one: embryodead, by wumpscut)

but some are obessing too, but the obsession never entirely
stops, it just sleeps — after some time, it pops in your
head again... and it starts over again... repeat, repeat,
repeat, repeat, repeat... (manyme by plaid, or christmas is
now drawing near by coil...) hem. ' _ '

and i can't help but thinking it's the same with girlfriends
(i never actually had one, maybe because i'm too shy, but my
attirance acts the same for girls and music)...!

I always try to limit my listening of REALLY amazing songs.
Vletmrx21 and a LOT of Beatles songs (and shit loads of
others of course) barely get any airplay from me, I really
don't want to ruin them. But I treat myself to them every
once in a while...

Yace I know the feeling. A similar thing happens when a
particular song brings backs memories, but then you become
such a nostalgic idiot that you listen to the song
repeatedly over a short period of time and subsequently the
only thing that listening to the song actually reminds you
of is your listening to the song to "take you back".

God, that sentence was a fucking mess. Don't even bother
reading it again to try and make sense of it, it's not
really worth the effort.

pretty good. he had 2 other people with him. i don't know if
that's normal or not, i'm not terribly familiar with him to
be honest.

i hope the new godspeed album comes out this year! =)

i was really obsessed with beep street a few months ago...
and then for a little while a few months before that... i
must've listened to it everyday last april at least
once..sometimes more.. im giving it a bit of a break now...

earlier in this summer 'le soleil est pres de moi' by air
and 'revenge of the black regent' by add n to (x) were
played at near obsessive levels..
i think the last song i got really obsessed about was 'we
have a map of the piano' by mum... which i probably listened
to everyday last month..such a gorgeous song..its getting a
break now too...
actually.. a few weeks ago ttv by telefon tel aviv got
multiple plays daily...up until i got the actual
cd..weird...
'the love you bring' by prefuse73 was getting a lot of play
too...but now theres a scratch on the cd..so the end gets
all fucked.. ill have to fix that

i dont think i really have a obsessive song at the
moment..though 'folk song for cello' by savath+savalas is
getting up there... and probably 'scatterbrain' by
radiohead...i really hope this ends up on the new
album...which i really hope comes out soon

Port Rhombus by >

there is no doubt about it, my family must hate that song...
for much time always I'd compared that song to the meaning
of perfection
