Doors open 8:00 p.m. First DJ comp starts at 9:00 p.m sharp Confirmed for the solo competition are DJ Sheep (QLD), DJ Selekt (VIC), Sumone (SA), Dr Son (NSW), DJ Nathan (ACT) and DJ Finatik (WA) who will take on reigning Australian champion DJ Samrai from NSW. Confirmed for the Battle for World Supremacy are DJ Sheep, Selekt, Sumone, D'Opus (ACT), Staen (SA), The Master (QLD), D-Vise (VIC), Dr Son and Korrupt (ACT). Also on the same bill is the 2002 Motorola Team Battle, where teams of DJs compete on up to six decks and four mixers, with the winning team also flying to the World finals and cash prizes for second and third. Reigning Australian team champions the Dirty Duo (consisting of Melbourne's J-Red and Selekt) will be back to defend their title but will be facing tough opposition from Melbourne's I.S.O crew and Tha Untouchables, plus Tek 9 and the Decknicians from NSW. Technics have very kindly provided both a Technics SL1200 turntable AND a $1400 Hi-Fi system for door prizes and there are tons of giveaways in the form of General Pants t-shirts, Puma clothing, Ortofon DJ equipment, Stealth Magazine and TDK CDs.
