I'm declaring August 22nd International Eno Day--everyone take holiday from work and get blazed to some Eno.
This is your day. Make the most of it. Tell others. Go forth. Make disciples. In Eno's name, Amen. :)

My favorite Eno albums are 'Ambient 3: On Land' and 'Thursday Afternoon' (Thursday afternoon is a single 61-minute track and it's amazing).
I dig his earlier work too. 'Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy)' is another favorite of mine.

Another Green World is probably my favorite album...overall his ambient works are more powerful, but his stuff in the early-mid 70s rocks huge ass.

Yeah, My Life in the Bush of Ghosts blows me away. A lot of people don't like the voice, I think it's great. I really miss his lyrics - they are some of the best. Simple, poetic, and effective.

exactly, even when he's singing about dying at the end of the season on a faraway beach all alone and unkown on "On Some Faraway Beach", he sings it with so much resolution and relief. He's turned that image into one of hope.
can I ask---what's in your mouth, if that is you on your avatar?

Critical Eno Question:
Why is a most awesome track, Prophesy Theme, stuck in a soundtrack (Dune) that is otherwise filled with Total TOTO Dreck!!!! I can't touch the album...it's that horrible!!! But I heard the P.Theme on CBC and can't forget it's exsistance!!!
Did he do an entire session for Dune? Is this track available elsewhere?
Please help...
