Aphex has gotten much much better, his early stuff is awesome, but dated. Things have moved on, for the better, I think. Drukqs is much more dynamic than any Caustic Window could hope to be. |

mm.. true, ventolin too closely mimics the noise in my brain on most occasions.. that of course doesn't make it bad, just makes me want to break things after a while. as for defending drukqs (though not a newbie listener, whatever the hell you'd like to determine that as), i'll be the first to agree there are too many tracks with too little substance.. but the good songs on it are really good and this style he's moving into being alot heavier on the breaks and jungle style tracks instead of organic sound just seems like the next step in the whole progression of his music so far. jesus that was a runon sentence. |
