They are good at what they do ... have you ever been to a
Low show? I saw them during their last tour. They have some
unusual fans...

There were some groupies that seemed to treat the band like
a fragile carton of eggs. They asked one group of people to
stop talking during the show and were being rather facist
toward smokers.

It just rubbed me the wrong way, I suppose.

actually that one's called "do you know how to waltz?", it's
a live collaboration! the original is just by low. i prefer
the original, probably just because the live collaboration
isn't nearly as good in sound quality. it's a very hypnotic
track, both of them.

I never know how to describe bands, so I'll just cut and
paste the allmusic.com "tone" entry. :-)

Somber, Reflective, Wistful, Reserved, Precious,
Sentimental, Sad, Gloomy, Wintry, Poignant, Restrained,
Earnest, Soothing, Innocent, Angst-Ridden, Brooding

godspeed, rachel's, umm.. sorry i dunno :( i don't listen to
much of anything that sounds like low. i guess they're in
that "shoegazer" category.

they have nothing to do with shoegazers !!!

they are pretty difficult to fit in a category but i'd say
post rock.

similar bands : the delgados, snow patrol, songs:ohia, dakota
suite,sparklehorse.

Low are SO FUCKING GOOD.

No other band can compete with their vocal harmonies.

I've seen Low quite a few times. its amazing how much they
can do with so little. they're are two bands I can think of
that sound similar to Low. one band being Best boy
electric-happens to be the band started by the old bass
player from Low. another band called half film sounds like
them in some ways. of course they are a whole bunch of
bands that people like that usually like Low-mojave
3/slowdve, red house painters, american analog set, her
space holiday, bedhead and death cab for cutie. I heard a
couple of the tracks for the new album and I don't think it
will disapoint. the first two albums will always be my fav
though.
