The best RPG never to have the words Final, or Fantasy on the cover, yes.

Is a brilliant game (love the comabt sequences - all that side scrolling stuff is groovy!) but still doesn't beat final fantasy 7 I'm afraid!!

Actually Final Fantasy 6 is the best ever. Crono Trigger comes in second. Great games.

cant forget Mario world 2. Chrono trigger, secret of mana\evermore are all better than any final fantasy game. FF3 was pretty sweet though. FF7 and after arent as good I think as earlier FF's.
F zero and mario kart are quality games as well. F zero x is better though for n64.

Absolutely.
Chrono Trigger games demolish the more popular Final Fantasy games.
Chrono Cross is at least TWICE the game that FF10 is, and Chrono Trigger is better than FF6. But not by much... the two best games ever, neck and neck.

Yes it is sonic. i'm glad someone noticed. I have to agree with Ophecks on chrono wiping out all FF games. But FF6? I never understood the hype over it. FF7 and 8 are the best, and then the series goes downhill.

The only poster I have up on my wall is a Chrono Trigger poster, been there since the winter of '95, it's never coming down. Too many memories. Of course the box and manual have their own shrine away from the rest of the normal games that don't match up to the greatness of it.

Ah, I didn't care for FF7 too much.
CT is probably better than any FF. It's a fun RPG to play. The gameplay, character designs, music, fun factor are all there, top notch too.

I have that poster under my dresser. Its totally fucked up. None of you were into FF2 (American, first one for SNES) as I was apparantly. I think thats the best RPG ever made, followed by FF3, followed by CT

FF4 is defintely a classic, that was the most played one by me. I do like FF6 better, but 4 was outstanding.
Ahhh, I should get off the computer and play more FFX, but I'm at the stage of building up all my characters and doing all the side-quest stuff. ....tends to get boring sometimes, oh well guess I should though.

Top 5 RPGs:
[01]. Chronotrigger [02]. Final Fantasy 7 [03]. Chronochross [04]. Lagoon [05]. Final Fantasy X
I dont know though, I know there was one better than FFX, but cant remember. Oh well, Im just as into these as games like Silent HIll 2... thats one of my all time favs. Chronotrigger brings back memories of gaming for sure. Thats old stuff.
