yeah, I see em about...I work in a FE College so there's no
way not to...

I can remember when I was that age and how everything seemed
kinda geared towards finding your own identity - That "Who
the fuck am I?" feeling & then expressing that ID thru
clothes & fashion & music...some people kinda flock
together, I guess like the groups you mention, whilst a few
kinda walk their own road...

It is difficult not to stereotype people based on what they
wear, the music they listen to etc... but in my experience,
you kinda lose out if you do & you have to look beyond that
surface to really connect with people (and that's what's
life all about really...)...

And you gotta remember that "Rudie"vs"Grungue thing has been
going since the year dot...Punks vs Skins, CasualsVsGoths,
ModsVsRockers etc etc etc...

p.s. I like DrumNBass & Tom Waits so god knows where I fit
into the Rudie/Grungie spectrum...:)..

Ha ha, Mods v. rockers. My cousin & his wife are mods and
now when they meet up with the rockers at ska scooter
conventions they have agame of footy on the beach to settle
their differences. It illustrates how people "grow up" I
suppose...

Murray dude, Do you like Slipknot? If so can you e-mail me
as i'm stuck with a few things about them. I just got into
them after a long time of thinking they where too softcore
for me. I like them now but there is like 3 versions of
their first album. Bleh. Trying to get the other tracks.

I heard their first (mate feed kill repeat) album was crap

I have a copy of 'Slipknot' in digi pak with extra tracks,
but I'm told there was two copies of this album out before
that. Not the 'mate, kill, feed' thing. The first issue of
'Slipknot had the original cover but didn't have the
'slipknot' logo on the cover, some tracks where taken off it
then it was re-issued as 'slipknot' with the same cover but
the logo on, then the digi-pak was released with more
tracks. I want to know which tracks where taken off for
legal reasons.

RoadRunner records always do this shit. -.-

Hey Murray, if people disagree with you don't take it
personally. Say what you like on here. Just because someone
doesn't agree with you it doesn't mean they don't like you.
And have a good birthday!

You gonna have to learn to have a tough skin if you wanna
become a writer, mate...all part of the job...

but yeah, don't take nothing here personally...it's just a
mb and people often post stuff they wouldn't dream of saying
face to face....

Wise words from Ceri. I mean he's a Tory Barryite with an
intense hatred of the working class but he's a good egg
really.
