that's how it is when i listen to my friends music or
aphex's.
it's like it really inspires me to go out and try and become
a musician but at the same thime makes me feel like i never
will be as good as him and will never make something as good
as him.

i go through these phases... they are aweful... of hating
all my music, and not being able to write anything

its truely the most aweful feeling in the world...

im going through it now

it comes and goes... and i dont know what brings it on, or
gets rid of it.

But then once its gone, ill make a song and be very pleased
and happy, and i can conquer the world kinda thing...

but right now im goin nuts with frusteration

arg!

its like manic depression

on the days when you feel like that, you should take a break
from it. go a day or two without making any tunes; that's
what i do. i got through the same thing--all musician's do,
i think.

take a walk or a drive or something. have sex or maybe watch
an intense movie; get that creative blood pumping again...
then go back to your stuff.

i always have 'writer's block' aswell.
I get a stage where no ideas come into my head, and nothing
sounds good and i just want to delete everything!

"manic depression is touching my soul"

What usually gets me out of it is listening to music quite
late at night, while mucking about on my guitar with a pen
and note pad at hand to write down any ideas that come to
me.

Or i just dont try and make music for a few days. its really
annoying when u've got to make a piece for school but you
just have no inspiration at all.

Dude lol, techniclly a BoC track is oretty easy to produce:
You need the following

Hip Hop Drums
Vco Synths, filtred thru...various filters
Some speech samples, preferbaly from children.....

Tada insta-boc !

hey I made a BoCish Track with FLP ? If anyone wants
it....!?

no, see, i dont want to reproduce it! thats the problem!

ive been listening to them so much, that when I write, It
reminds me of something BoC would do, just not as genius, so
i get all pissed off.

im putting myself on a self imposed electronica suspension

no electronic music for 5 days

clear my head

How am I going to top them?

Boards of Canada are amazing!! Geogaddi fucking blows my
mind!! It's so good, and deep... there's so much sound
there, but it all works together to create this beautiful
piece of music... I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE BOARDS OF CANADA!!
