I'm wondering, has anyone else heard this rumor?
Boards of Canada - Triangle
to be released september 24th?

someone posted this, in a thread at the audiogalaxy
messageboard.

hmm there's been much discussion about this one, but i
haven't heard the title 'triangle' mentioned before.

it sounds just like a made-up title though...like someones
thought 'what would be a typical boards of canada title?'

don't bother, i'm sure they're fake. why would 2 unreleased
boc tracks just "pop up" on the internet?

anyway, a new ep might be coming out in september, that's
very very unconfirmed. however i do have it confirmed that
twoism is being rereleased (i guess on warp) and a new album
is set for release in first quarter 2003.

actually, they're 12 and 13

"why would 2 unreleased
boc tracks just "pop up" on the internet?"
yeah, that never happens :cough cough kid a, drukqs, do you
know squarepusher:
:P

note: TWO tracks, not a whole release.

yeah, but there's also like, one track from a couple of
really old BoC things

true but those were released in some capacity, no one's
claiming they're from something upcoming. i'm sure they're
just hoaxes, like the many aphex, radiohead, and nin hoaxes
out there..

offline roygbivcore from Joyrex.com, of course! on 2002-07-28 01:29 [#00327531]

yeah but...

but...

:cries in a corner: YOU'RE MEAN!!!!

besides, since almost no one has any of the early stuff
(acid memories, closes volume 1, hooper bay, etc) you can't
exactly dismiss them as fake. i think some one's just doing
that so they can feel awesome because they have the whole
release, and everyone else has one track.

how do the "new boc" mp3's sound anyway? are they good?
geogaddi-ish or does it sound like a progression from that
sound?

do you know how fucked up tape trading circles are? there
are people who will not let anyone have anything, unless
they have a really really obscure rare tape, like "ok, i'll
trade this copy of the nirvana show from 89 if some one
gives me the mudhoney show they played in some one's
basement in 88"

i don't know, the only person on the server with them is
duble0syx, and i can never download anything from him, cause
he has his queue at one download at a time, and there always
seems to be some one else downloading from him... from what
i hear though, they're very interesting. low quality though,
i think they're like 32 kbps

i just got the first one, it's very nice... at first it
reminds me of hiscores... then the drums come in, and
they're kind of hard, all though it may just be the sound
recording... it definately sounds like their style though...
this song reminds me of blue, way more than red... it kind
of feels like it may have even been an out take from
geogaddi

interesting. well, i must admit, unreleased stuff isn't
totally fairy tale. i know someone on this board who is a
signed artist and he has a whole lot of demos from very cool
artists. he could easily put mp3's on the web if he chose
to. so maybe the boc stuff IS real.

hmmm 13 doesn't really feel right. it starts off sounding
like something from IABPOITC... but then it gets odd... the
noises kind of sound like... i can't describe it. and at the
end it sounds like it plays a second of hi scores... i don't
know about this one

I think it's pretty clear that "track 12" and "track 13" are
not new tracks. They sound pretty dated. If they're fakes,
they're good ones. Don't dismiss them until you've heard
them.

god i hope there's a new release. either that or they
re-issue twoism. either way would be great.

I'm here to defend myself! It about 10 post late but oh
well. Everyone needs to get over to Inverted whales server
and check out the 2 mystery tracks. So far everyone has
agreed that they are proly BoC...
