Memorising track names...

You may think I'm weird, but every time I buy a new CD, i
study the tracklisting till I know it off by heart. I
remeber them for ages, and one day when I was bored, I wrote
down all the track names I could think of.

It went over two pages of solid writing!!!
Does anybody else do this too? (memorise track names)

I haven't written down all the track names of Aphex etc (But
I might!!). I have wrote down the total length of all my
Aphex Twin CD's so I could see how many hours of Aphex I had
to listen to :)

I have tried to decode track titles once. On Armand Van
Heldens Killing Puritans (spelt that wrong probably) all the
track titles are in this weird alien language and you have
to decode it. I spelt I while working them all out :)

*I SPENT A while working them all out. Though I guess I also
spelt a lot too =D

Here's a tip: Stare and study the Drukqs cover while you
listen to the music. It may help you to memorise the tracks!
:)

I can never remember track names nowadays...seem to listen
to stuff more on MP3 than anything else...seldom dig out
original CDs so I don't kinda have that cover/track
connection thing going on...

I remember ever track name by Aphex and Autechre, even the
weird ones... well, actually, I don't have AB3 memorized!

Autechre has my favorite track titles of all time, I HAVE to
remember them. They come up with such awesome words.

I don't remember track names at all. When people starts to
talk about AFX or AE songs here, I always have to check what
song they're talkin' about.

this is what i want to know... how many of his song titles
do you think richard actually knows? cause i was going
through my song list, and a lot of it seems like he didn't
even put any thought into it.

I don't usually even name my songs any more...

i don't bother since the track titles are usually
meaningless. i seldom even remember which track #s they are,
i only know the song when i hear it (but i can determine a
track by its most basic elements - drum pattern, a single
synth note, a sample used, etc.)

the only track names i remember are the ones that really
stand out, like "john thomas on the inside is nothing but
foam" for telefon tel aviv or "smack my glitch up" from
kid606. otherwise i have too many CDs and mp3s to keep track
of them all

I'm surprised! I don't make myself read over and over to
remember the track titles but from memory for example...
ICBYD Acrid avid jam shred, the waxen pith, wax the nip,
Icct hedral, ventolin (video version), come on you slags!
start as you mean to go on, wet tip hen ax, mookid, alberto
balsalm, cow cud is a twin & next heap with.

I don't bother with AB3 (.215061, .000854854 blah blah
blah!), and some stuff on classics is a little hard to
remember (all those scientific mumbo jumbo!!) but I guess on
a whole I do remember most track titles. I never really
thought about it before...

I like to remember the names because I prefer to call the
songs by the names that the artists want. just seems like a
respect thing.

I could never call fingerbib just "song 4 on RDJ album" ;)
