It's Easy

So last night, my brother was listening to "Blood On The
Motorway" on DJ Shadow's "The Private Press." At about 2:44
on that song, there's a sample of a voice saying "It's
Easy... it's like breathing... it's like a heartbeat." Upon
hearing this, he realized that the voice sounded rather
familiar. After listening to it several times over, he read
in the credits that it contains a sample of "It's Easy" by
Marc Z., who just so happens to be my uncle, Marc
Zimmermann!

no joke.

just thought that was a bizarre coincidence y'all would find
pretty interesting...

-Martin Zimmermann

No, he did the record sometime in the late 70s and he's lost
touch with this record label since (he lives in stokholm
now).

haha, we called him up today, and he was like "no shit! what
a trip! ooh, I have to go get this!" I don't think he was
angry about the copyright thing... :)

it's such a mindboggling coincidence.....

That DJ Shadow has his album, which was produced by a very
small record label in New York and limited to under 1000
copies.

That I happen to like DJ Shadow and that I bought it.

That my brother had heard my uncle's LP when he was a young
lad and recognized it (I never would have!)

That DJ Shadow has a release entitled "Unkle"

holy shit!

I'm finding this more and more hard to believe....

:)
