what the hell is the big deal with this track. its the
worst thing on an otherwise innovative album. sounds like
someone fiddling for the first time with fruity loops.

It's somewhat minimalistic comparatively, but it still works
for me.

The difference is that it's catchy and easily absorbed on
first listen. It's like most tracks on Squarepusher's
earlier work.

That's why people like it - it's not very innovative but
it's a welcome break from the harshness of Bonneville
Occident, Greenway's Tragictory etc.

Yep, when I first heard I.W.Y.C.T. I was like hey this is
great. It's the worst track on the album.

Read my post on the other thread for my full opinions on the
subject...

You say its a welcome break, but the thing is, tommib is
already placed after whats arguably the harshest track on
the album. My argument is that it simply isn't a good song,
and that at this point squarepusher is above this kind of
stuff.

it's not my favourite track on the album...i really like
greenways trajectory though - that is awesome and has a
really cool name as well, no?

yeah greenways trajectory is a head trip, and a damn good
name too.

iwyct is like my red hot car and that last track: out of
place but in a good way.

better not have an album full of abstract songs

I don't feel like the first and last track are out of place
tho..just becuz they have no drill..

I think My Red Hot Car is the most out of place track on the
album. It's so clearly a single that it stands out almost
uncomfortably.

the last track feels like lying down after heavy drilling in
a mine

Go plastic is flawed as an album but it contains brilliant
tracks (exploding psychology and greenways) that make it
good. its just that IWYCT sticks out as sounding like it
should have been on Burnin N Tree or selection sixteen.

I fucking LOVE it! The crazier stuff on that album is just
TOO crazy for me. I Wish You Could Talk has this nice,
straightforward, rock out feel. I dig it.

great d'n'b track- thats all.

maybe it is only me but i am thinkin of "go plastic"
"abstract" tracks as of jazz stuff...

"my fuckin sound" is "my sound" taken by tom j to year
2350...

maybe it is only me- but what tha fok- 'go plastic" is
jazzy!!!
