i mailed het lek if they'll broadcast plaid's performance. unfortunately, they weren't allowed to tape the show... so bummer
what's up with bands forbidding radio and tv to tape live performances anyway? first tool, now plaid...

haha i don't know them either!! :) everybody seems to know them, though. i only know they mix acoustic guitars with electronic rhythms. i once heard a snippet of one of their songs, sounded ok, more electronic than guitars

their album "shrink" is really special.
the "old' notwist sounded to me a little like dinosaur jr. Maybe a little heavier (and also not as good).
But they completely changed their musical style with this album! There are still guitars, but also lots of jazz-influences, and electronica. Listen to the song "chemicals"... that one is particularly amazing.
Haven't heard their last one yet...
