in one thread, I was showing people my music... and someone said that my stuff sounded like an autechre rip off i then replied that I hadnt listened to autechre until after i wrote the songs in question. so everyone was being smart with me saying things like "ohhh autechre stole from you, sue them" taking the piss out of me i wasnt implying that jsut that i didnt listen to autechre until after i wrote those tracks so it was coincidence ... who told you this? |

Yeah, it's all about doing what you feel. I'm sure Zeus didn't set out to write three tracks that sounded like Autechre, which I don't think they sound like Autechre at all, really. One shouldn't be so concerned with going against the grain, trying to do something 'new', as if that should take more importance over doing what you feel or what you really want to do. |
