It doesn't specifically allow deletion of your shared files, but if that occurred, seeking damages would be hard - "Anyone whose computer was damaged in the process must receive the permission of the U.S. attorney general before filing a lawsuit, and a suit could be filed only if the actual monetary loss was more than $250." If you live in the USA and don't want this bill to pass, now would be a good time to send your Congressperson an email. |
