if you had perfect pitch, you could hear which # is being
pressed, and so you could spy on people

Someone should sample dial tones and put them into a track
and call it "Touch Tone". Me thinks that would be very
special!

Hedphelym: Don't ruin my comedic peice. ;) WINK

Zeus: I know...ive thought about the possibilty before.
that would be scary though

Pachi: I KNOW! that would be super cool to sample some
dialing a phone...and then looping it. then have answering
machines going off..loop that...then at this really 4-bit
drum loop (think sounds of gameboy) then add more druming
with 'phone frequencies' and loop that. It would be called
"I tried phoning you buy you didn't answer"

hehe whoa

i just realized i can generate my own dial tones w/ cool
edit! =)

prolly don't even hafta touch the numeric pad; just play it
thru the puter speakers into the phone to make a phone call!
how convenient is that...

Yes Brendan it would. i think someone should start a new
sub-genre called 4-bit techno...or "Intelligent Gameboy
Music" or IGM. Autechre should invent it.

"sounds like a really corny techno toon. =)"

Done poorly, yes! But if crafted with care and love it could
be an electronic ambient masterpiece. Mark my words,
Squarepusher will do this one day!!!

i thought game boy was 8-bit... kirby has some damn
complicated music, if you listen with headphones, there's
actually parts in stereo that go back and forth from left to
right. ON GAME BOY!
