yes, some rhythms can mess with your head... 5/4 is really weird... but, strangely enough, the song Take Five by the Dave Brubeck Quartet which is in 5/4, swings really nice, and it hardly seems strange at all... this album Time Out is really nice... they make all these weird time signatures work very well...

Autechre can make a straight forward rhythm like 4/4 mess with your head... Nuane is a perfect example... :)
