Saving Private Ryan really is a great flick, especially if
you like war movies. Great acting, great script, great
effects, great cinematography.

Heat and Aliens are also my favorites. There's more, waaaaay
more, but I can't think of any.

It's a good movie yes.....far better than most American war
movies.
I have great respect (most of the time) for our American
cousins but when it comes to movies.....I have to laugh!
What was the name of that submarine film where the americans
stole the Enigma decoding machine to crack the Nazis' super
code?
I never realised the americans did that!!!!

Anyways....SPRyan is a class movie!

Hey, that movie has so many levels to it.... the opening
sequence of MJ's greatest hits is superbly cut and has some
fantastic effects... then the main story featuring great
dialogue, a brilliant turn by Joe Pesci (easily beating the
nastiness of his Goodfellas role), the child actors are so
accomplished in their acting skills... the effects are
stunning but don't distract from the main plot, which is
equisitely written and features some brilliant dialogue...
and as for MJ himself, well, the fact that he wasn't
nominated for an oscar for his performance is criminal.

Smooth.

Is that U-571 you're referring to? I saw it once but don't
remember much.

Another movie that's absolutely fantastic is The
Professional. I happened to see it again today and I forgot
just how amazing it was. I went to a couple stores trying to
find the uncut European version, but no luck yet. I'm trying
again tomorrow.
