I used to play this cool online space sim/RPG called
JumpGate. I turned the ingame music off and made my own MP3
playlist for the game. My playlist was as follows:

Aphex Twin - Girl boy song
Rammstein - Sonne
aphex twin - On (reload mix)
Aphex Twin - Beskhu3epnm
Aphex Twin - Alberto Balsam
Brian Eno - An Ending (Ascent)
Final Fantasy IX - Long Journey Ahead
final fantasy ix - Overworld Theme.mp3
Rammstein - Feuer frei!
Rammstein - Mein Herz Brennt
Rammstein - Mutter
Aphex Twin - flim
Aphex Twin - 4
Aphex Twin - fingerbib
Aphex Twin - On

it was pretty damn cool :)

I always upload MP3s into NHL 2002 so some Beatles and Aphex
Twin songs are played by the arena PA after a goal, during
an intermission, during a whistle, on the menu, after a
game, etc. Nothing is better than a slapshot from the point
going 5-hole and then ''Come to Daddy'' exploding while the
fans go wild!!!!!

Shit, I want to play that game, now...

Asche: A rammstein fan, are we? hehe, yeah they kick ass!
:)

Ophecks: hahaha, damn thats cool man.

I always get rise confused with Head Radio and MSX or
whatever, but yeah, one of em is cool! :)

JumpGate uses a first person/third person view, but from the
ship. basically, if u pick first person, u are in the
cockpit, if third, the view is behind the ship.
Unfortunately, you can never leave your ship to explore
space stations/planets, allthough u can dock at them.

They need to create gameplay in the same realm of higher
thinking as autechre in games.

It could totally work.

Listen to Plaid - zamami

Tell me that song doesn't sound like an Underwater City!
It'd be perfect for one in an RPG.

When I first heard the music from Luigi's Mansion I thought
it sounded a lot like Aphex stuff in some parts. And I know
I'm not crazy because a video game magazine said the same
thing!

Coolness. I should rent that game. Videogame music needs
to be more appreciated by people instead what seems to be a
cult following outside of Japan.

The best station on GTA3 is MSX... It's a Moving Shadow
station. that's the drum and bass one.

I actually bought the original sound versions of Crono
Trigger and Final Fantasy 3.

"As for me, to produce computer game music is my vocation, I
can honestly say that the music throughout the games is all
my own work." - Nobuo Uematsu

Yeah Uematsu is something else. I have a feeling he'll go
down as the most reconized videogame composer ever.

I work for a video game company and it is the record labels
that pay for the songs to be in there. So expect lots of
crap in the future. Sorry, that's just the way it is........

I listen to a playlist of mostly Plaid and Aphex Twin when I
play Starcraft. It goes with the futuristic motif of the
game.
