...do you find that when improvising you often "stumble" on
bits of music you recognise? I was messing around on my
keyboard trying to get used to the keys and I was playing a
bit from "Dark" by Manic Miner :)

We have an old organ upstairs, and sometimes I sit down and
randomly hit the chord buttons and the keys, and come up
with something brilliant. More often than not, it sounds
like random crap, but sometimes you hit the sweet spots. I
can't really play a keyboard, not correctly anyway.

Sometimes...

That last track on Autechre's Garbage EP is really easy to
play and sometimes my fingers just fall on those notes, and
then halfway through the progression I just decide to keep
playing it because it's such a nice sequence.

It's probably because Dark's such an obvious and cliched
piece of music

;)

I may use it in my remix - especially if I stumble across
anymore parts of it :)
