after the first minute it sounds like shit to me... i'm not
dissing autechre, i love alot of their music, but i could
name several other songs that deserve a music video, gantz
graf is definitely not one of them

your not missing much zeus, the first minute kicks ass, from
then on it all sounds like loud distortion

You have to admit that this is an interesting track to
attempt to make a video to. I'm intrigued to say the least.

It's not just distorted noise either, it's held together by
this crazy rhythm underneath a shitload of other sounds.

When you see the video GG will make a lot more sense...there
are a lot of hidden rhythms & structure in there that get
reflected in the video...

I certainly enjoyed more once I'd seen the 2 together...

Lol, Gantz Graf and Cap.IV are better than most tracks on
Confield. Heck Cap.IV might even be better than lentic
catachresis o_O

It's like an ultraviolent upgrade to VI scose poise,
everything happens in increments, getts speedy, slows down,
goes insane, or stops in an instant. It has alot of elements
of VI scose poise to it.

I thought this was interesting..

VI Scose Poise <-- first track on confield
cap IV <-- last track on gantz graf

It's OK, but one of their weaker offerings. I've given it
time to grow on me, so I can ''understand'' it, just like I
did with Confield... I understand it now, and it's my
understanding that it ain't no Confield. Decent, but...
their next project will be way better, I'm sure.

try dissecting it in your brain, pick out all of the little
"funk" miniatures through it -its a smorgasbord

i think the song was made only for the video.

the music was made to be put to visuals, without them, the
song is useless.

you mean the video was made first?

i think they made the song, already thinking about placing
it to a video which would explain all of its sound.

yeah...the other 2 videos look very dated now...

The CC one is still ok, I guess but the Basscadet one just
makes me laugh...compared to GG, it's like from
pre-history....

I'm now looking forward to the video that makes GG seem
dated...:)...

I'll see if I can get the article from Creative Review where
Alex R goes on about the making of the vid...it's on the
other side of the big GG poster...

Phobias got a part of it on Ae.nu...in the GG section of the
dicography...

(ps..it's the same guy who's done the SQPR logo..that []

no, not TDR...Warp used someone else for this (for a
change...much as I love TDR, it's nice to see someone else
get a look in after all these years...)...

...maybe Back Dog Films (not 100% sure of that but think
it's right)...

Dog Films to do music vids...

I don't think so but you never know...kinda odd for there to
be 2 things so similarly named and both connected to Warp in
some way...

I'll get that article scanned and you can see him talking
about the SQPR logo...check back tommorrow..
