I think it's the 808 kit that does it for me. I cannot stand that thing. I know that's all he really to work with then, but I just hate it. I guess I'm more of a fan of cinematic music. I like SAW II a lot because it paints good mental pictures. To each his own though. Love that female vocal sample in Xtal though. Where did that come from? |

I'm not sure, but Xtal is fabulous... I believe I read somewhere that it was from a Cocteau Twins song, but I mentioned that here and people said it wasn't true, so who knows... actually Heliosphan and Xtal were what really sparked my interest in Aphex Twin, but SAW82-92 was one of the last albums of his I bought because of the import thing and all... |

I'm depressed now... noone is mentioning Schottkey 7th path... it was the first I heard from aphex back in 1992 and I was one of the first guyz to mention aphex on the Athens radio.... I even cried with dat song too... when my girlfriend died in a car accident... |

the only song I have ever cried to is Alberto Balsam, I don't know why, just when I heard it I felt like I saw a person who lived the saddest life ever and that song was his/her story... and I just cried.. It's in my opinion one of the saddest Aphex Twin songs... |
