LAZY_TITLE

that an atari executive in the 80s called the people who
designed video games "towel designers," as he'd formerly
worked in the textile industry and effectively regarded them
as the people that designed the patterns on the towels.

before this, it'd been a company full of stoners that
invented the first music visualizer -- which sold poorly, if at all
-- but then also pong, which did better.

then they blew threw the cash and since then, atari has just
been this IP zombie that refuses to die, and sometimes buys
other old games. the history of atariâ„¢

anyways, i write this because: ulillillia was obsessed with
bubsy; how does he feel about this? how's he doing anyways

ok since none of the news twits are... part of what they got
is microprose, which means the atari zombie now owns, like:
civ 2, worms armageddon, master of orion, and more. super,
just super. enjoying putting out "anniversary editions" of
the same game when... hell, i still have legal copies of
some of them. and DOSbox

tho his bubsy autism is related, I believe, to an SNES
version rather than some weird atari version

I see now that there prolly was never an Atari version and
this is more of a corporate buy-out thread.

Good night.

oh they also bought berzerk,
does that mean no reissue of ab3?

how does that have anything to do with ab3? guessing
samples. didn't know that offhand

...but when i say "atari is now just an IP zombie that
refuses to die, and occasionally buys other other games" you
can start to see how this sort of thing has enough ripple to
justify slightly more than an eyeroll. the licensing issues
with dozens of these spiderweb all over. they could make
lots of money off of this, then use it to buy more old games
to make more money off of

and kingshit fuckers don't do nothing original no more. just
investment wanking other peoples' efforts

i'd like to release an album for the vectrex 3D imager. same
way it hacks one of the i/o lines for the rotary encoder on
the visor, pirate something to keep it synced to the album

there was someone on here ranting about 68k assembly code
ages ago

yeah it kind of shitty to buy licenses for those reasons.

just saw a couple of vectrex last weekend at
this place.
its a free to play arcade with old consoles and computers
too. you hardly find anything alike in all of germany. great
fun. i was really gutted by the vectrex screen, being more
like an oscilloscope. never saw vector graphics before on a
screen that it was built for. the picture, its just so
perfect, clear and glowing nicely.

ulillillia is currently a bit depressed because he's going to go kind
of homeless in a week and you should subscribe to his
patreon and give him a lot of money if you can please

it turns out that the audio already synced to the 3D viewer.
that the thing keeps the game synced by plugging into the
second controller port and doop doop doop it pushes the B
button or something and this not only syncs the graphics but
the sound. as some guy described it, you can run 3D viewer
games without th3 3d v13w3r, just mash the B button fast,
and the game plays very slowly, complete with blaps of audio
along with the frame advances. so it sounds like it's
already primed for an album
