there was a version by a white crew of 'Love Comes & Goes'
passed on mtv during the 90s, not the original a more
synthetized version with a psychedelic vid, cant find it on
youtube, pity cos it has that same 90s urban vibe. so ill
just post Redman - Funkorama

immortal technique mark of the beast
LAZY_TITLE

even though eminem mostly raps about dissing n sync and
women "must be a circus in town lets shut the shit down on
these clowns" can be interpreted as against the whole
political/corporate/etc circus, even though that's probably
not what the lyrics refer to, so I like it
LAZY_TITLE

prefuse 73 vocal studies uprock narratives

funkstorung appetite for disktruction = winner, so they
don't get a link since everything is inverted

the herbaliser feat latyrx - 8pt agenda

i first heard this on xen cuts (highly recommended
ninja tune compilation). i only knew latyrx from the
self-titled track on a fatboy slim mixtape and boy oh
boy have i listened to em a lot in the past decades.
probably the first hip hop that really had me hooked apart
from salt n pepa when i was like 6

Of fucking course the hip-hop thread on Xltronic starts off
with the noted white male Lil Ugly Mane..... smdh

so what he's white? should any hip hop thread start with a
colour chart check to see if the artist's black enough? take
yr reductive bullshit out of my thread you sad little
virtue-signalling bellend

perhaps this will satisfy your need for conscious
blackness. it's a shame i have to associate it with your
gleeful trollface shtick, it's a good track

Triggered much?

I'm not saying white males can't be rappers, but they should
at the very least acknowledge the ways in which they benefit
from the uncompensated labor of Black artists. I assume
you're aware of the history of Black folks in America.

i think you got what you wanted dear, i'm so triggered i
won't be able to function until my white guilt is
sufficiently assuaged. do you expect every track by
non-black artists to come with a disclaimer acknowledging
their privilege?

that whole album is ace, one of my favourites. fave track is
either pharaohe monch - mayor or company flow - patriotism

Yes, seeing that actual justice would involve some sort of
reparations paid on a per-stream basis to a Black artists'
cultural rights organization (a la ASCAP), I think a
disclaimer would be the absolute least a white rapper could
do.

is ASCAP like AFLAC? it would make complete sense, since you
hate GEICO so much

who / what are you actually trying to satirize by taking
such an absurd and patronising position? and if you skirt
around answering that - what, pray tell, would such a
hypothetical disclaimer say?

I was in a record shop and spotted this cassette with nice
blue and yellow colours. Bought it and this was on
it. Won’t change your life but it’s decent I think.

Maybe it sounds silly to you, but if white people would
accept the fact that they have benefited from the
exploitation of Black bodies in the relatively minor field
of music, we can greatly increase the likelihood that
justice can be achieved with regard to much larger
atrocities such as slavery, Jim Crow, redlining and police
brutality. And the fact is that including a disclaimer on a
record is not such an absurd concept. Almost everything you
buy will have a copyright warning of some sort on it, and
many albums still have warnings about "offensive" language.
Now, I think it should be featured a little more prominently
than those examples, but is it so much to ask that every
white rapper's Soundcloud page have, whenever one hits the
play button, a pop up box that warns the listener that the
white rapper's music is based on the uncompensated labor of
Black folks?

they like wavephace here because he's a white supremacist he
thinks it's funny to push the truth that bothers him as a
right wing cunt to the extreme yes you owe most the music
you listen to if we're talking about idm, electronic music
and hip hop to black people

not electronic music if you're listening to stockhausen and
xenakis only

so you'd tipper gore that shit with warnings and pop-ups,
which nobody would read and would forever associate
anti-racist causes with irritation... and somehow get money
to "a cultural rights organisation" - how? getting users to
pay to upload there? take a cut of ad revenue? neither is
realistic, and you're playing right into right-wing hands
with dumb ideas like this. if i know anything about young
people it's that 1) they have the attention span of gnats
and 2) they demand unmoderated internet. what you're
suggesting would turn perception of the left into a bunch of
holier-than-thou, joyless cunts
