if you look at america's track record, it is actually unprecedented: over 400 years without a violent transition in power. no other nation on earth has managed such a streak. i view the constitution as a deeply thoughtful piece of social software. mueller has been a consummate professional. no leaks, no bullshit, just a distant, get-lost message of, "I don't care about press conferences, I just care about my job." and thank god for this, because it's not partisan, it's... i dunno, academic? abstract? that he's presenting an almost technical analysis, and he only cares about accuracy; he has no obligation beyond that. he won't be prosecuting trump, he's just trying to get the official record in alignment with reality. but, again, i do suspect barr will redact 93% of everything under the context of executive privilege; security concerns, etc. |

I just wish he had more time to continue his investigation. I'm pretty sure Trump is using the spurious Epstein investigation to blackmail him. But at least the House will be able to continue the investigation if Mueller wasn't able to get all the evidence needed |

also got my math wrong. more like since 1776... but, still, cccombo. i have no idea who epstein is. my line of thot was this: i need to pay attention to what trump does on twitter. if he's chill about the mueller report, it will be the usual nonsense: attacking john mccain for some dossier; attacking GM for jobs. but, no, instead he's telling israel: yeah, hey, go nuts. telling north korea: it's ok; we're cool. feels like insane panic to distract; poor nutty thinking trying to make a mark on global policy before his house of cards collapses |
