I'm not big on any of the PSM composers but even I have to admit Bach performed by the expert hands of Wendy Carlos can be quite good, in spite of the composer's disgusting anti-Semitism. Wendy is also a champion for trans rights, which is huge in my book—did you know she fought against the vile transphobic rhetoric of Momus in court and won? It's just a shame she doesn't seem to be recording anymore... I'd love to hear her do a Switched-On Women and Non-Binary Composers of Color album |

I suppose the question you have to ask is will the future king of israel revive js bach or let him pass into hell. I believe JS Bach has a place in the world to come. That’s just my belief. |

As for wendy her music is great. But she’s a bit trigger happy with her lawyers shutting down vids on youtube where people play classical music on their synth. I hate that. |

The fact is pretty much all the non-Jewish PSM composers were anti-Semitic. The St. John Passion contains some vile tropes, to give one well-known example from Bach's oeuvre. |

B minor mass, Goldberg variations, partitas (both piano and violin), well tempered clavier 1 and 2, st Matthew passion and BWV 639. That last one had a nice synth rendition from the Solaris soundtrack. Bach is incredible. What's PSM? |

chopin is much more gifted than back. I didn't research either but I suspect bach is like a rich elitist who plays for royalty and is highly educated, meaning indoctrinated in prevailing groupthink and mainstream, whereas chopin is innately gifted and creates from inner passion and drive as a poet of the piano. just look at pics. bach= powdered wig = embracing trendiness of the time, it's reflected in his music. I think he mostly uses simple geometric symmetry like copy paste in a round or mirror flip etc. chopin= no powdered wig, he sees through the trendiness and thinks outside the box, probably has inner hate for the powdered wig fags, the eminems and lady gagas of their time. |

Between 2015 and 2017 I wasn't able to look at treetops without having the first 4 bars of the Allemande of the Cello Suite in G in mind. It was a pretty good experience. I still sometimes wish that at least some trees or other plants would, when the wind brushes them, 'sing' Bach pieces. ... You would walk down a field and then the wind blows and then you hear every blade of glass 'singing' the Art of the Fugue. Different blades of grass would do different voices. That's a world I want to live in. |

this: and art of the fugue his mind was that of a musical god. maybe some like w M w find him stiff, but his music was full of music really his is so compact. he uses the same stuff in different alternations but in a very musical way, its not a copy paste fiesta. chopin was a very gifted pianist and composer, but in a way he sounds dull compared to bach (whom he admired deeply) liszt would be a more suitable contender, I think. he pushed the limits of the musical thinking of his time. |
