what up my man, not seen you in ages! i was beginning to
think you'd escaped this toxic waste dump of a website. you
done any new musics?

Hellox! I was in a new world order agenda 21 coffin with no
internet for about a year, but I escaped that. Well out of
the fire and into the frying pan of this site I guess.
I, hmm, I might have only a few tracks that haven't been
released, I'll see. I haven't made music in like a year
because.. the air itself was too sickly to transport music.
But I am like maybe 1/4th of the way to making something
that might be great, automated music, automated melody even.
I've had a lot of blockades in my way so it has been very
slow going.
end hellox.

What are you making your automated stuff with?

good to hear yer still thinking in musical terms even if the
nwo were smearing you in honey and fire ants recently (cos
that's how they do, right? thought so). i wish thee well
nollface. end transmission

I'm making my own algorithms/"library" (if I'm even a good
enough coder to make a library) and, uh, ifs/variables/loops
with the intentionally suffocated programming language, of
course nwo google recommened to everyone, called python. By
the way I recently tried to dick around with video files,
you know mp4, avi whatever, even the "open source" one...
well you can't do it with python, they don't allow you to,
it's too obvious that all the routes are artificially
closed. Sure you can use their libraries, but you can't make
your own, it's too locked down. You make some progress then
find a gaping hole here and there and there. Youtube and all
the propaganda movie makers want to keep out competition you
see.
You have to think and think and think and think about
music/melody, is there an ultimate underlying simple rule to
it all or to a majority of it? Something you can turn into a
powerful lever, what is the best way to organize the data?
Of a bazillion different ways. I mean it's just numbers in
time right? For example if it is a rigid list
[0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7] there is no way to put something on
2.37849, unless you make a super long list, so I think each
'thing' will have a float time of its own, that way you can
do autechre slow down weirdness. that's just one 'what's the
best way to do it' of many. and then melody, as simple as it
seems, automating it to actually sound good is tricky. It
definitely can't be randomly placed notes. I think I'm on to
some sort of algorithm, but not sure. I like speeding up my
normal hand made melodies like 2.5x as fast or whatever,
sounds like fantastic candy contraptions, and if i can
automate normal speed melodies its easy to change the
overall speed. One huge pain in the ass is this shit called
fourier transform, probably a concept made by artilects, it
may or may not have something to do with this I have no
idea:
LAZY_TITLE
maybe everything in the universe is made of circles?

uno: sumptuous melody at 7:30

Thnakz y'allz. 7:30 uno is where the main sort of 'tricky'
stairlike repeating part is 12 time units. So sometimes the
stair steps every 2 units inside that 12 -time-template
(2*6=12 so u can fit 6 stairs that way), sometimes steps
every 3 (3*4=12 so u can fit 4 stairs that way).

i cant understand how does it work w, but it seems it has
something to do with relationship between numbers, which is
something i fully understand

i mean i cant picture a stair but i understand the simple
operations, simply dont use math for music if not for some
kind of math of thought, as for using the brain when doing
music in the same way you would be doing calculations. not
to add the parameters on the plug ins are often fractions of
something

lengths n ting, gotta produce at them for dubstep and hiphop
respectively. runnin dat numbers game yo

Historically I've found that algorithmic composition is just
another way for White Males to exploit the labor of
others—in this case computers—then claim the profits as
their own.
