Is it actually good or is it more inline with a shitty
insidious/sinister/conjuring etc cgi funfair ride that
happens to be set in Derry?

The only reason to remake IT would have been to put the sex
scene in, and they haven't done that. So my proposal to you,
friends, is; maybe put it in yourselves?????

RLM have a good Half in the Bag video of both films and the
book.

Just got back from watching it. Both me and the Mrs gave it
a decidedly average 5/10. It's not scary, more irritating
with the same punchbang scream rushing at the screen trick
repeated so many times that even my incredibly wussy
girlfriend wasn't hiding her face by the midway point. The
acting is good to great across the board and the banter
between the kids is largely satisfying despite more than a
few 'hey guys it's the 80s lol' moments.

The movies biggest problem is that is refuses to take it's
time with anything. There's barebones world building,
functional but on the nose characterisation and a rushedness
to the scares that sucks any tension out of the movie.

Looks nice though and the score is good with a couple of
really nice morphs as the mood changes. Pennywise is a great
performance for the 10 or so lines of dialogue he has.

Ultimately it's utterly pointless. Like mr Lol said above
there's no kiddy orgy and while that might not be necessary
it is symptomatic of the fact there's not really much of
anything to give the movie teeth or depth. It's a surface
level adaptation that misses the most important character
(the town) in favour of Nor Hollywood shocks.

Gonna watch that red letter media video now

Just seen on the wikipedia that that flatliners is a sequel
and it's got Sutherland in it reprising his role. Sounds
awful.
