Thank you fellas. belb - It bugs me that I couldn't seem to take this anywhere else and so it's left pretty minimal, which hamstrung the remixes a little. I sat on this track for a year and kept going back to it and nothing I did improved it and so I settled on this. It's definitely heavily influenced from all the 90's Bukem stuff, but I think structurally I'm a bit OCD (not to mention lacking in talent) and struggle to add a broader depth to make tracks more interesting. I'm enjoying learning though. |

i think the only fault of this is the way the drums sound, i cant find a word but i feel them a bit of having a little impact on the perfect soundscape you built around them, they sound like they are cleaned up, being a bit soft, or delicate. deprived of flaws. i wondered about lessening them like muting the hat filling the background, should have its personality. |

Yeah but I made this blindfolded with earmuffs on. (Yes, I know it tells) And anyway, I bought all your vinyl releases and melted them down and molded them into a new toilet seat, which when I'm a bit tipsy and too lazy to lift up, gets plenty of drips on it. New dawn is really, really pleasant to my ears and brain in the bits when there's just the beat, the baseline that's quite low in the mix, and a few effects. Does the same thing to my brain as the beginning of tundra 4 by squarepusher. |
