Was expecting a dull Marvel film. Instead it was better
than the Matrix.Never been obsessed with Benedict
Cumberbatch, but he does a good job as main character. Mads
is a menacing baddie. The effects get freaky like in
Inception with whole streets curling up. They get powers
like teleporting, out of body experiences, and magical
whips. Part of it is set in Nepal and you get pseudoBuddhist
influences on the set design and costumes.

Tldr 9/10 underrated film.

The whole curling up thing I thought was badly done. I could
see the computer graphic layering. Too many static parts.
Meh.

Love Cumberbatch, always have. I like the character dr
Strange. Fell asleep watching though. Will watch properly
though, it's fun.

That "curling up" thing was kind of cool the first couple of
times but about the hundredth it gets a bit "oh look,
everything's curling up, that must make things...
*yaaaawwwwwnn*
awkward".

The end doesn't make sense. God-like devourer of worlds that
exists out of space and time gives up after being annoyed by
Cumberbatch for five minutes. I don't buy it!

i liked that he turned up too late for the big finale and
beat the big bad using the time loop thing rather than lots
of explosions.

the effects and stuff were cool, i liked the
kaleidoscopeiness of it all. There were some surprisingly
emotional scenes too, like tilda swinton's death.
