Who is your man crush?

Considering it's mostly men as regulars here.

I'll get back to you as to mine, as I have many and need to
narrow them down.

I don't (necessarily) mean in a sexual way. Maybe sexually
attractive, but not as wanting to engage with them
intimately.

Good answers.

I loved Mads Mikkelsen in Bond, and Hannibal.

I had a man crush on Walken in the King of New York.

Bowie's attitude in Merry Christmas mr Lawrence, his coke
fueled detachment in the Man who fell to Earth.

I remember thinking "that's quite a nice body look" when
seeing Fight Club. First time that had happened. I was more
fascinated by Spacey in Seven though.

Oh god what's his name? Michael Fassbender. I like him,
cold. He was great in the xmen origins thing. I remember an
awesome scene in a bar in South America.

I love Harrison Ford but I don't think I ever had a man
crush.

John Cusack in "The Sure Thing" (I tried, so hard, to become
him. So hard)

Sean Pertwee in anything (I met him once (OK paid £20 for
him to sign a photo at a Comic Con))

When I was a teenager Kurt Russell gave me confused feelings
- I think I wanted to be him (not bum him)

Holly Johnson (FGTH) - OK he's GAY but I never wanted to bum
him, I just thought he was so cool.

I am sorry I've mentioned no blacks or Arabs.....

Omar Sharif? Yaphet Motto?

Ohhhhh, I think I'll be playing that as I go to bed for the
forseeable future. Food, were it needed, for thought.

If having a crush for 80-year old women / women who died of
old age is basically like having a man crush I'd say Sofia
Gubaidulina and Galina Ustvolskaya.

Otherwise ... I don't know. Jandek perhaps.

Bowie, Reznor, Chris Cornell as the men most successful at
what they do/did apart from the times when they had to
struggle with addictions. They won and continued being cool
and great and creating great stuff. In my opinion. = my
heroes, for that. All good looking too, ofc.

more film-wise: Daniel Craig: for being most realistic Bond
ever.

p.s. I just checked the Blade Runner thread: Ryan Gosling.
ofc.

seems I've been out of the loop for ages now. remakes,
comebacks in the film world. gotta catchup.

Bill Murray in Lost in Translation especially,

Thurston Moore...

and, you will think me weird, Larry David.

Thurston Moore rehearses in a studio my flat looks over, he
doesn't live that far away, North Finchley, I think? Seems
weird he lives in London, it's not right. I'll say hello
next time I see him. OR BUM HIM!!?!?!??!

No, strictly no bumming, please. I would just politely nod
and leave it at that.

There’s something about his stature and seeming
immortality that makes him very alluring.

That reminds me someone recently recommended Kim Gordon’s
Girl in a Band memoir, which I‘m looking forward to
reading.
