had this album on my hard disk for ages but i couldn't
actually recall listening to it! i can't even remember when
i downloaded it...

i knew "my red hot car" from a loose, unalbum'd mp3 i have.
i vaguely recalled hearing "boneville occident" on youtube,
but i couldn't remember what it sounded like at al. 'twas
just a memorable track name. that's it

i've been playing it on loop for a couple days and i am
deeply mystified: why did it take me until now to listen to
this? why did i finally listen to it? clerely, this is the
result of a dark magick ritual by angela merkel.

Software developed by Yamaha to convert samples to
formant sequences was well known but not released for
general use. Eventually, a programmer (Wouter van Nifterick,
see FS1R utilities below) produced a freeware alternative
and users could finally access all the unit's power, a
number of years after its initial release. Rumours abounded
of a 'FS2R' successor, with a USB port to connect to a
Windows PC/Macintosh equipped with suitable editing
software, but no such machine was forthcoming.

i'm wondering if the squarepusher used the aforementioned
ghettoware to convert an amen break to a formant sequence
