...me some great, classic and relatively mainstream
eighties albums along the lines of:

Simple Minds: New Gold Dream
Tears For Fears: Songs From The Big Chair
Roxy Music: Avalon

I'll be getting these classics on cd, for my listening
pleasure. I do know and treasure a lot of 'alternative'
eighties music so please don't recommend any depeche mode,
cure, smiths, cocteau twins, 4ad in general...new
order....pet shop boys...
