All i have to say is drugks!! how else would you listen to Aphex not on any kind of drug, weed is my electronica choice and I loooooove it! Doing drugs and listening to drugks sounds like a damn good time to me. So lets lay off the drug talk cause im sure Mr.Richards himself doesnt make up those sounds sober. drugks baby!!! drugs! |

I tried coke once. It's not worthwhile for me ever to try it again, but i don't regret it one bit. I've known some pathetic coke-folk; sad, especially when they are friends. I listen to music when I smoke or take acid or mushrooms (this is all very seldom, but regular). Lately I've been listening to some oldschool shit. Last time I smoked I listend to Hildegard Von Bingen's Canticles of Ecstasy and Bach's Mass in D Minor (pretty sure that's the one). The Bach piece (specifically the gloria movement) is incredible. Who would have thought such esoteric wonder would have come in the form of religious music? |

I'd never use any drugs--I think it's lame that musicians can actually believe they're going to achieve better sounds by using assorted intoxicants. |

While I enjoy the hightened awareness that can come about from time to time while using pot, it is rare that the drug will really work well. it has happened once or twice that i have experienced things beyond the ordinary while listening to music while high, but I can have very intense experiences without the drug. Music alone can get me going... weed just enhances it, but not very often. joey |

Yep, I enjoy most things. Drugs can be so benificial to a listening experience, though weed is probably my favourite because with the right music it can be awesome. |

for me the herb never fails to enhance when listening to top-notch electronica. also magic mushrooms work well. i like the aspects of these drugs that retrofit consciousness, but can also listen perfrctly fine without. |

Richard d. james never uses drugs when he makes music. I know that for a fact. Plus, why do you need drugs to listen to aphex? All i need is a CD player and some headphones. Drugs just make me stupid. |
