The Black Dog ...

Their last 4 albums have been excellent, yet they don't
seem to get so much love here. So, I'm giving them some
love. LOVE. <3

too much love may spoil them

I think they're militant enough about their art that a spot
of love won't spoil them. I could be wrong though ... I
hate The Black Dog.

I love them just enough not to spoil them.

TBD has really released some quality stuff since "the
comeback" in 05. Further Vexations was one of my favourites
from last year. Go dog!

I agree. Really strong stuff since Martin hooked up with the
Dust [Science] Brothers. Up there (but not quite at the
same level) with the output from the original triumverate in
IMHO.

Radio Scarecrow is one of the best albums of the last few
years. Happy now?!

Indeksical, but where is the love, where is the love, the
love, the love?

I do love The Black Dog, for a while I mentioned them
regularly, named Radio Scarecrow my album of the year,
whooped and hollered at every mix, then the love died... I
can't quite place when, maybe The Black Dog didn't give me
the attention I deserved, maybe I got distracted by newer,
sexier lovers... Who knows? All I know is that now there is
a hole in my heart, a gaping maw hungry for The Black Dog, I
worry it may never be filled again.

Fill that gaping maw with this: Music For Real Airports

my dad introduced me to the black dog, and also surprised me
when he bought aphex saw 2 when it came out, he is nearing
60 now but no less the cool as fuck dad he has always been
to me.

i was 16 when i found the black dog amongst his collection
and have shared some great times because of that similar
mindset.

i've always been thankful for his musical influence from my
earliest memories of playing his led zep, pink floyd,
santana, talking heads and many other stuff on my battery
powered record deck he bought me almost a decade prior.

Dog, is there anything else like it today. Consistently
excellent.
