do u prefer the sound of music made live onstage or on a
daw in some creepy dim-lit room?

I prefer unzipping my trousers, putting my dick on the
kitchen table and then going cross-eyed and waiting for my
uncle sebastian to come home

Ok when you say live, does that mean you are playing all of
the parts, as in actual chords and melodies on a keyboard,
someone is playing drums, bass, etc. like a rock band, or do
you mean triggering patterns, twisting knobs, messing w
buffers and that?

if someone just plays back their track and looks at the
screen that is unacceptable. they need to be doing
something, and i need to be able to hear or get a sense of
what they are doing in the music that i hear (not pretending
or being dramatic about the wet/dry on a reverb). i mean
this for a live show, obviously, i don't care of studio
music is 100% sequenced and arranged in step/non real time.

a rock band like shellac or low is great live and great
recorded in a proper studio to analogue tape

drexciya set the standard for techno. live trax recorded to
tape. big part of the 'soul' of the track imo.

'idm' the shitty fake genre invented in the usa and spread
by usa people all over the world into fake shitty laptop daw
music, then no thats gay. fake genre.

i agree with fah i mean pepe about the liveness of drexciya,
that's something that can't be beat. but the nuances and
awesomeness of structuring and planning a song with a DAW
and it sounding as cool as AFX shit is something remarkable.
although most of the time it ends up sounding like bad jega
music

Live is a program for people who don't know what the fuck
their doing. I was of course refering to processing your
music live in realtime or producing a mixed down finshed
track offstage. Also Pepe rapes dogs, but finds them
pretentcious for taking credit for the doggiestyle position

As far as electronic music is concerned, there is
practically nothing interesting that could be done in front
of an audience that couldn't be done 50 times better in a
creepy dimly-lit room.
